This page explains why an unscoped API token is required to back up specific configurations using internal Atlassian APIs. We recommend selecting "Create without scopes" until public APIs and defined scopes become available.
Can the user create the API token with defined scopes?
When generating your token, you will see options to define "Scopes."

Revyz uses Atlassian API tokens to back up few configurations like automation rules, ScriptRunner configuration, and asset field context. These are internal APIs and the scopes for them are not defined.

Atlassian does not provide any public documentation for the scopes of these internal APIs. Hence, we recommend creating the API token without any scopes. When creating the token in your Atlassian account, ensure you select the option to "Create API Token."
