Clone Asset Configurations along with objects across sites
Objective:
This document aims to guide you through the process of using the Revyz app to clone asset configurations along with the objects from one site to another.
Pre-requisites:
Two Atlassian sites: The first site is referred to as https://site-1.atlassian.net and the second as https://site-2.atlassian.net. Learn how to create an Atlassian site
Jira service management product licence on both the Atlassian sites.
The Revyz app must be installed on both newly created Atlassian sites (https://site-1.atlassian.net and https://site-2.atlassian.net). Learn how to install the Revyz app
Cross-site connection between the two sites in the Revyz app, which allows cloning from one site to the other. Learn how to configure a cross-site connection
Atlassian API token added in the Revyz app on both the Atlassian sites, so that Revyz can backup Assets data. Learn how to add Atlassian API token
Assets backup enabled on both the Atlassian sites in the Revyz app. https://support.revyz.io/revyz-data-manager/enable-assets-backup
Before Cloning:
Create an Object Schema on the first Atlassian site.
Go to: https://site-1.atlassian.net/jira/servicedesk/assets
Click “Create schema”.
Select the “IT Asset Management” template and click “Use template.”
Enter a unique Schema Name and Key (e.g., "IT Management" and "ITM"), then click “Create schema.”
Add objects to the newly created schema (IT Management).
Take a backup (Backup type: Assets Objects and Assets Configurations) on both Atlassian sites:
https://site-1.atlassian.net
https://site-2.atlassian.net
