About this Page

The Deleted Work Items page is a centralized, immutable log of all deleted Jira work items. It provides a tamper-proof audit trail for security and compliance, showing exactly what was deleted, when, and who initiated it.

What is the Use Case?

Use this feature to find missing work items, identify and investigate accidental deletions (whether caused by human error or automated workflows), or show proof for security audits.

Work items delete history

This feature is applicable to:
command center for jira

This page displays a log of all Jira work items deleted since the app was installed (up to 12 months).

History Table

The History Table provides a detailed list of all deleted items, displaying their space name, unique Jira key, work type, exact deletion date and time, initiating user, and the total count of currently selected items.

Note: If the initiator is "Former User" the user is not longer active on that site. The tooltip provides account id of the user.

FAQs

Why is restoring directly from the "Deleted Work Items" page not supported?

Direct restoration from this section was deprecated due to an upstream update by Atlassian. Previously, Atlassian's deletion webhooks provided complete work item details such as comments, attachments, field values, etc., (excluding attachments), allowing direct restoration from this log. Atlassian webhooks now only supply a summary payload.

A work item has been deleted, how can it be restored?

To restore deleted work items going forward:

Navigate to Revyz Command Center for Jira.
Select Data Security and Compliance > Restore > Work Items Restore.
